    Robert Arthur Smith 943134 , attached to 30 Squadron, had been captured in Crete and died as a POW in Germany. There were no further details in his records at all

    A GRO overseas death was purchased by myself but this only gives his location of death at a POW Camp at Bad Sulza and states his cause if death as " unknown "

    I have today made a request on the International Red Cross for any information on his death - They only open up their enquiries once or twice a year on 1 day and you can only request 1 search per time - I have received email confirming they have my enquiry I will let you know any outcome
