Alexander Kerr Richards 577308 , a medically discharged airman, had been seriously wounded in an air attack on LG 100 at 00:15 hours on 29 August 1942 whilst attached to Number 59 RSU.. He was admitted to Number 21 MRS with gun shot wounds to the chest and spine. Dangerously ill for an extended period , he was repatriated to the UK by hospital ship on 26 January 1943 where he was medically discharged , dying from the effects of his wounds sustained almost 3 years previously

Royston John Beare 1616594 , attached to E squadron of Number 1 Wing of the Glider Pilot Regiment , had been injured flying a Horsa at Hamminkeln on 24 March. Admitted to Number 9 British hospital suffering from severe bruising to the chest and legs and abrasions, and then transferred to Number 113 General hospital, he was evacuated to the UK and reported back to his unit on 14 April . Home on ten days leave, at 24 Kingsmead avenue, Kingbury, his father asked him to make some hot milk for his mother who was feeling unwell and when he smelt the milk burning, he could not find his son until he entered the garage and found him hanging from a rafter with his feet just touching the ground. An open verdict was returned as no note had been left and he showed no signs of depression

Raymond Cyril Gardner 512073 , attached to Number 910 Wing , was reported missing believed drowned in Meiktila Lake, he was seen to throw up his arms and sink 15 yards from the shore. His body being recovered on 18 October

Norman John Chope 118466 | attached to RAF Birch | was admitted seriously ill to Mortonhampstead Military hospital on 23 March suffering with acute cholecystitis . He rallied on 28 March but again became seriously ill and died of endocarditis
