Oswald Robert Gaylord CBE DFC AFC 09008 | had been admitted seriously ill to the Royal Masonic hospital in London on 11 February. He was passed as fit but retired in August 1944 and died at home at Naughton Hall, Nedging Tye, Norfolk, of hypertension
