    Hello,

    SINGAPORE - 114591 S/L Robert Philip Brent GROTRIAN RAFVR'

    S/L Grotrian was aboard No.117 Sqn Dakota IV KN593, that crashed into the sea, 7m SSW of Nyaunggonale, Burma. Aircraft was returning from Bangkok with ex-PoWs.

    Theaker died of natural causes in RAF Hospital, Bridgnorth. He had served in the RE during WW1 and joined the RAF police in 1923. Cheers, Tom

    ELLIS, Clarice Sybil- Flt Offr - She was killed with Gp Capt Warrington, see below
    WARRINGTON, George Ninian - Gp/Capt - He was serving as Station Commander at RAF Aldergrove and was killed when his boat hit a sea mine off the Isle of Islay whilst he was sailing from Sligo around the Scottish coast, his wife was also killed together with two other officers.
    LESTER, Eric Barton - LAC - registered in Barnstaple.
    McGREGOR, David Alexander - F/O - He was killed with Gp Capt Warrington, see above
    SYMONDS, Charles William - AC2 - registered in Maidstone.

    LESTER, Eric Barton - LAC - 935407

    Died In N. Devon Train Taken ill while travelling in a Southern Railway train between Bideford and Barnstaple on Saturday Eric Barton Lester (38), of Craig Hill-road, Knighton, Lei Ces ter collapsed, and was dead when taken from the train at Barnstaple. Lester, who was recently discharged trom the R.A.F., was accompanied by his wife, and they Tvere returning from a visit to North Devon. The circumstances have been reported to Barnstaple borough coroner

    Albert Arthur Millo 1282270 , died when the unit’s water bowser was involved in a road accident near Winterberg. The driver, LAC Freebody , escaped injury

    George Thornton 1777233, Was seriously injured at Hendorf by the discharge of a .22 rifle at 22:10 hours and was admitted to Number 25 general hospital at Munster but died en route in the ambulance at 23:30 hours . His brother Sgt J F Thornton was serving in Germany with 9 DLI in Berlin and the funeral was delayed to allow for his attendance . An enquiry found he’d accidentally shot him self in the stomach with the rifle which he had possession of contrary to orders

    The Chris Hobson entry is totally erroneous

    Peter Lowe 1122679 , attached to HQ Special Forces , was admitted seriously ill to Number 67 Indian General hospital at Sirajganj on 11 August , where he died of malaria

    Sam Theaker 353888 | attached to the RAF Police at RAF Full Sutton | was admitted seriously ill to RAF hospital Northallerton on 27 August and was transferred to RAF Hospital Bridgnorth by air ambulance on 4 September, Dangerously ill. He died of carcinoma of the stomach
