    BALFOUR-KINNEAR, George Thomas - the Hartlepool Daily Mail of Saturday September 22nd reports that Flight-Lieut. Geo. T. Balfour-Kinnear drowned whilst bathing in the sea near Boddam, Aberdeenshire on the previous Thursday, the 20th of September. The article states that his body was recovered by fishermen on Friday 21st.

    DENMARK
    HARLEY, George Arthur - LAC - 543033 - RAF - Ringe Cemetery, Denmark.

    On 19th September 1945 a RAF truck with 12 RAF soldiers was hit by a train, and thrown into a ditch, near the Danish village Sødinge.

    Leading Aircraftman H.C.J. Picton, 1205466, died at the scene of the accident.

    6 other RAF Soldiers were seriously wounded. Next day, on 20th September 1945, Leading aircraftman G.A. Harley, 543033, died at the hospital of Ringe.

    Both buried at Ringe Cemetery, Denmark.

    Walking back to camp after spending the evening at the cinema in Kidlington, L.A.C.W.
    Joan Iris Tailby (28) of 25 Roseberry St Burton Latimer lost her life when involved in an accident with an Army lorry.

    The accident occurred when she was only five hundred yards away from the camp. L.A.C.W. Tailby and her friend on the grass verge were struck from behind. L.A.C.W. Tailby receiving broken ribs and injuries to her back, and her friend a broken arm.

    They were taken to Radcliffe Infirmary where L.A.C.W. Tailby who never regained consciousness died ;bout an hour later.

    Before joining the W.A.A.F. three and a half years ago. L.A.C.W Tailby was employed at Messrs William Timpson Ltd.. boot manufactures Bath road. Kettering. She Was 28.

    The funeral took place at Burton Latimer Cemetery.

    The Rev A. A McNaughton conducted the services at the chapel and at the graveside, where many friends and relatives attended.


    The Co-operative Federal Funeral Services carried out the arrangements

    Herbert Edward Lowe 350457 | attached to Number 3 AGS | was admitted seriously ill to RAF hospital Lochnaw ? On 12 April and transferred to the Westminster hospital London. Further transferred to the Royal South Hants hospital on 21 June where he died of hyperephroma of the right abdomen
