    Hello,

    AUSTRALIA - 177602 F/O Robert George William PORTAS RAFVR.

    F/O Portas was killed whilst flying Kittyhawk A29-915. Portas, who was attached to 2 AD, Richmond, was ferrying the aircraft to 6 AD, Oakey, in Queensland.

    Melvin Ewart Maurice 1278588 , collapsed in the street and was admitted to Cheltenham general hospital wherevwhe died of lymphaticus

    Nabi Abdulla 8142 , attached to Number 1 PT Company , was injured on 6 September when he jumped from a moving vehicle . He was admitted to the RAF Levy hospital . Transferred to Number 16 General hospital on 13 September to be treated for head, jaw and dental injuries. He became dangerously ill after a blood transfusion and died at 11:30 hours of meningococcal meningitis. This was unrelated to his injuries and was believed to have been introduced via his transfusion

    Albert Edward Prescott 1530983 , attached to Number 40 ASP , was admitted seriously ill to Number 70 British General hospital on 6 August. Transferred to Number 865 FD Station on 16 August and thence to Number 50 British General hospital on 17 September where he died of pulmonary tuberculosis

    Edwin George Pople 108977 | attached to Number 1 PDC | was admitted to RAF Hospital Wroughton on 20 May, becoming dangerously ill on 24 June , dying of an ulcer of the stomach

    W/308848 Cpl Margaret Frances McWILLIAM
    b. 15 Feb 1915 at Braddock, Saskatchewan
    Trade: Wireless Operator (Ground)
    d. 22 Sep 1945 at RCAF Hospital Jericho, Vancouver

    Unit: Western Air Command HQ Vancouver

    Whilst sitting at her desk at 0900 on 26 Jul 45, complained suddenly of a severe headache and collapsed. Admitted to 3 R D Hospital, Vancouver, and placed on the Dangerously Ill list 31 Jul 45. Provisionally diagnosed as epilepsy, this was soon suspected to have been a subarachnoid haemorrhage. She died at RCAF Hospital Jericho (3 R D) on 22 Sep 1945. The cause was stated as Subarachnoid haemorrhage and Aneurysm of circle of Willis.
