MALAYSIA - 437963 F/Sgt Alexander John "Junior"HUNTER RAAF.

F/Sgt Hunter RAAF, of No.82 Sqn RAAF, failed to return from an oxygen climb exercise in Mustang A68-762. Although a search was maintained by pilots of 76, 77 and 82 Squadrons until the end of the month, no trace was found of the pilot or his aircraft.

Peter Carey Beesley 411100 | attached to RAF Kirmington | had attended a dance at RAF Killingholme and was hitching a ride to his station in an RAF water tender when it overturned and crashed though a hedge at Habrough. The driver, Corporal Dennis Ward and F/SGT Jack Gordon Frankton and LAC J.A. Craigs escaped serious injuries but Beesley was trapped in the cab and asphyxiated by the bodywork
