    Hi

    UK
LAKE, Herbert John - Wng/CDR - 121818 - the Northampton Mercury of March 22nd 1946 reported that he was found shot dead in his office at R.A.F. Podington. A verdict of suicide was recorded, and the inquest was told:
"[he] was inclined to worry about small matters, and had complained about being overworked.
"Very happily married, with three sons, he was due to be demobilised in about two to three months time. He had been at Podington about four months.
"The Coroner, recording his verdict, said...there is no apparent reason why Wing-Commander Lake should have taken such a course."

    Regards

    Simon
