    Hello

    AC2 James A. GRANT - 1009370 - the Liverpool Echo of December 23rd 1940 reported the following:

    Liverpool's Most Serious "Blitz"
Merseyside ahd its longest and most serious air "blitz" on Saturdy night [December 21st]. Wave after wave of enemy raiders swept over the district, and in the later stages of the attack, some of them dived to drop their bombs.
Two members of the clerical staff of the Roman Catholic church, and several other people, including a solider [sic] named James Grant, who was home on leave, were killed when a bomb struck a shelter in the clubroom attached to the church.

LAC (Pilot u/t) Edmund J. McGRATH - 1256401 - the Graves Registration Report records him as being aiwth 13 E.F.T.S., and the Andrews Newspaper Index records him as "killed in flying accident."

    Regards

    Simon
