    138646 LAC (Radar Operator) John Emmerson HARRISON RAAF (of No.2 Stores Depot, Regents Park, NSW), died in Prince Henry Hospital, Little Bay, NSW, on 25 April, 1946, from the effects of Acute Poliomyelitis.

    From the Chelmsford Chronicle, May 3rd 1946:

    ON ACTIVE SERVICE
    HARDING - in a flying accident on April 25th 1946, F/Lieut. Edward Artgur Harding, younger son of Major and Mrs. Harding, of Ostereley, Middlesex.


    The National Probate Calendar entry for Loman:

    LOMAN Kenneth William Evans of Bow Street Langport, Somersetshire, died 25 April 1946 in a field off Watling Street, Weston-under-Lizard, Staffordshire.

    LUHMAN, Samuel George Gilbert - Sqdn/Ldr - 118881 - the Nottingham Journal of April 27th 1946 reported the following:

    ARMOURED CAR FATALITY
    Lincs Officer's Crash at Famous Spot
    Squadron Leader Samuel George Gilbert Luhman (36), of No. 1 R.A.F. Regiment Depot, Belton Park, Grantham, was killed when an armoured car in which he was carrying out a reconnaissance for forthcoming manoeuvres, crashed 25 feet from Rosedale Chimney, famous Yorkshire hillclimb.
    The driver of the vehicle, Flt. Lt. D. M. Ripon, of Warrington, and the other occupant, Flt. Lt. D. G. Roberts, of London, suffered shock but were otherwise unhurt.


    STRAUGHTON, Alfred - Cpl - 623817 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at The Infirmary, Workington.

    PAKISTAN
    WRIGHT, John Harry - F/Lt - 53190 - Casualty Communique No. 604, Flight Magazine, October 3rd 1946, records him a 'Died on Active Service.'

    William Rees John 73769, died at 133 Sheen Court, North Sheen, Richmond, of a cereberal heamorhage caused by arteriosclerosis

    Alfred Straughton 623817 | was admitted dangerously ill to Ballochmyle EMS hospital on 10 January 1946. Transferred to the Workington Infirmary, he died of carcinoma of the pancreas

    Derek William Harold Thomson 582756 | attached to Number 1 SoTT | was born on 14 March 1930. He enlisted as a Cadet in the RAF on 19 February 1946. On 24 April 1946, he was admitted seriously ill to RAF Hospital Halton, suffering with meningitis. Dangerously ill on 13 April, he died on 24 April of tubercular meningitis ( not 25 April as per CWGC )
