    Hello

    WAAF

BIGNELL, Marjorie Rose - ACW2c - 469272 - the Hartlepool Mail, as well as a couple of other newspapers, reported that her body was found on the railway line near West Norwood, dressed in her pyjamas. She was an orphan, had recently been demobbed from the W.A.A.F., and had been ill for some time. The spot where her body was found could be reached from the garden of her aunt's house, where she had been staying. The 60 year old railway foreman who found her body collapsed and died of shock at the stationmaster's office after reporting the find.

A member of Tavistock Town band and the parish church choir, Mr. Neri served in S.E.A.C. with an Air Sea Rescue unit of the R.A.F. during the war.

    Regards
