    Hello,

    AUSTRALIA.

54062 LAC Patrick James McENIFF RAAF.

54062 LAC Patrick James McENIFF RAAF (of No.31 Squadron RAAF), was found dead with a bullet wound to his head on an embankment near the Outer Circle railway bridge at Kew, Melbourne, Victoria, about midnight on 15/16 March, 1947. A .22 calibre pistol was found beside his body, from which one shot had been fired. Police were satisfied there were no suspicious circumstances and that LAC McEniff RAAF had died from a self-inflicted wound. McEniff, who had previously served in the Melbourne University Rifles, had been in poor health for some time and had recently suffered from a recurrence of head trouble.
