    Hello,

    AUSTRALIA.

78558 Sgt Alfred William EVANS RAAF.

78558 Sgt Alfred William EVANS RAAF (ex-RAAF Command HQ, Brisbane) left the RAAF in October 1945. He died of an unspecified illness in Warwick Hospital, Queensland, on 28 June, 1947. "Blue" Evans, originally from Chipping Sodbury, in Gloucestershire, had been ill for some time prior to his death. In civvy street he was an accountant and quite a local cricketer. On one occasion, he and N.Roche dismissed the Zingari side for a total of three runs, they took all the wickets between them.
