d. 06 Oct 1942, when he fell from a moving train near Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.
Previously enlisted in the Grey & Simcoe Foresters on 19 June 1940, his was discharged on 12 Nov 1941 on re-enlistment to the RCAF.
From the CoI held, Bennett was granted a 48-hour pass on 04 Oct 42. At 1400hrs on 07 Oct 42, Birmingham Police reported that his body had been found on the railway line 200 yards from Snow Hill Station. A verdict of accidental death was returned by the coroner.
