CZ_RAF (24th December 2019)
Hugh Halliday has quite a few threads in this section with Awards to the RAF - Pretty much everything other than DFC and DFMs are listed I guess. with the most complete DSO Listing in one of the old archive forums.
I have taken a liberty to process these lists into my now standard database format.. the DB is now available at http://www.rafcommands.com/database/awards/
Ofcourse its not complete (With exception of DSOs). but it tells us the possibilities that can happen
(Full Credits to Hugh for publishing these lists)
If there are other data lists out there that can be shared - please do let me know
Thank you

Hi Jagan, thank you it is great idea!
I have checked the DB and to my surprise I have found there also Czech awards.
I think there is one thing we should correct - Czech Gallantry Medal was the official name and there was no other medal like Czech Medal for valour which I suppose is Czech MV.
So Czech MG = Czech MV and should be listed as Czech MG.
There are some more details in my 311 Sq book which I can provide and also there is a special TNA file for Czech awards to allied AF members which can be added into this DB.

I just used Hugh's lists that exist on the forum. i will fix the award designation.
A quick check against wikipedia gives me the following numbers. Dont have the CBE/OBE/MBE numbers. Or the foreign awards like the French, US , Polish and Czech. Are there any other awards that should be tracked? . Overall there may be over 50,000 awards, service numbers and citations to be tracked. I am sure the M-in-Ds will be tens of thousands as well?. The current DB has just over 8000 names i there...

Wayne (1st January 2020)
Way back in 2001, Hugh Halliday had published a list of RAF and Commonwealth DSO Awardee list http://www.rafcommands.com/archive/00013.php . Taking that as a basis, with contributions from Malcolm Barrass and self, the list has been revised, cross-checked against the gazettes and loaded with Citations and links.
http://www.rafcommands.com/database/...php?qaward=DSO
Hugh’s list has been increased by an additional four awards, and citations and links to the original gazette notifications provided.
There are 1223 DSO Awards in the Database. 22 are pre WW2, and 18 Post WW2. Of the remaining 1182 awards, 504 have been gazetted without citations (they appear with “Notification Only” in the citation box). The rest have some form of a citation available. Only about a dozen or so awardee names, bulk of them Army Aviation Corps related do not have the linked information .
Feedback welcome

Well done on all the hard work chaps. Are you amenable to folk posting the missing DSO recs on this thread?

If you are planning to add the citations for the other awards, please let me know as I have quite a few "35 Squadron" related citations and recommendations which I have obtained during my research
