    Default The late Bill Walker

Bill Walker contributed a huge amount of data to a book I am working on and I want to ensure that the dedication I said I would include is delivered.

Does anybody have a photo of Bill - beard and all.

Does anybody have a reliable contact for his family, please.

    Dave,

Thank you for the very prompt response and the link to the photograph.

I don't do Facebook but will probably do so in order to get the latest info.

Just noted the the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is now hosting Bill's site and that they are planning to update and expand it.

    https://www.warplane.com/aircraft/se...-database.aspx

I've sent a note to the museum curator asking what their update mechanism will be as I expect Forum members will be able to offer contributions.

I hope very much that the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum does take forward the work Bill has done.

I contacted them and told them of my agreement with Bill and the work he had done for me, as well as mentioning a wish that they progress his work and not just leave it unfinished on a website. Unfortunately, I received no reply.

Colin. Sent a list off Wellingtons and Albacores operated by 415 Squadron. The Wellingtons are easily tracked in publications, not so for the Albacores.

    Richard,

Thanks for the information. You will have received by now my email.

I have now got a good photo of Bill and am writing the dedication for my book. Sadly my South African contact has just died and I need to write a special acknowledgement to her and her colleagues.

Latest from the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum is that Bill Walker’s RCAF serials database will appear in updated form in early 2023.
