    Default National Archives access in the COVID19 pandemic

    The Corona Virus/COVID19 pandemic continues around the world.
    In the Australian national assessment announced today, public restrictions here are likely to continue for at least 6 months.

    With that in mind, I thought a quick check around Archives and the like for current access notices might be of assistance

    UK:
    National Archives
    Closed to visitors until further notice from 19:00 today (Tuesday 17 March).

    All physical sites closed with effect from the end of today (Tuesday 17 March) until further notice. Includes Duxford.

    Thank you, Jagan, for making my post sticky, and for making it show on the RAF Commands Home page.

    As noted, as the pandemic develops, there will be changes. As of 20 March these are as follows:

    National Archives of Australia:
    NSW(Sydney) and Vic(Melbourne) Research Centres will also close, from Monday 23 March.

    Auckland War Memorial and Museum
    Closed to the public from 10am on Saturday 21 March for a period of two weeks


    May not be on hand to recheck frequently: for current information please check the links posted above.

    24 March 2020 update:
    Regret to advise that all the national bodies listed in my original post are now closed to visitors until further notice as are those in many other countries.

    In France also all the Service Historique de la Défense (archives) : Vincennes, Cherbourg, Brest, Lorient, Rochefort, Toulon, Caen, Pau et Châtellerault are closed to the public until further notice. Remote services are also suspended.
