    Hi Peter,
yes thats Clerides, ex President of Cyprus. The aircraft and most men ended up in the Nth Sea, but he landed by parachute in a cow field on land. He ended up at Stalag VIIIB, credited with numerous escape attempts. In an old interveiw I saw, he mentions how he stood up in the dark and surrendered to a German, before realising that it wasn't a German when the figure in the dark 'moo-ed' and walked away on four legs. Would love to find a photo of this crew.

Peter Lindley, hi, yes this thread is still open. Old threads never die, I just haven't been monitoring it so often lately, sorry about that. Should have sent me an email via the link to alert me. Good to hear from you. I am looking into that crew because I am writing about Clerides, among other Cypriot RAF airmen. George Harry Lindley I believe visited Clerides in Cyprus, with Fereday back in the 80's. Do you have any photographs of that crew, or even during their visit to Clerides in the 80's ? I have one poor quality photo of what I believe is the crew , at leisure time, and want to identify the various members. If it is the crew I can arrange it for you via email if you don't have it. Sending you an email also, to make sure you've got this.

They carried out 6 ops together as a crew with 115 Sqn, (I have Clerides' logbook) but your father did more ops whilst still at 20 OTU, which I thought was unusual as they hadn't formed up as a complete crew at OTU. I visited the National Archives yesterday for the first time in 15 months, and have the ORB's for 20 OTU where your fathers name is listed in the crews for ops during the 1000 bomber 'plan', if they are of interest to you.
