Fg Off Roy Vernon ANDERSON (61346) - "He died at about 9.30 a.m. at Larbrax Bay, Leswalt, due to exposure."

I don't think he died at Leswalt, but may have been moved to the RAF Hospital at Wroughton as there is no death registration for a Roy Anderson in Scotland in 1943 but there is a 37 year Roy V Anderson registered in Swindon.

So it looks like he had no connection to the Hurricane and died while at Home
    Hi Paul

This must be a different Oliver because as the one at 24 MU died in Calderstones Emergency Hospital, Whalley, Lancashire (Clithero district) and is buried in Whalley Cemetery.

    Hi Paul

My apologies I misread your post and took the Blackburn entry as a death not a birth

Maj Eric Cowley SAVILLE (103255V) - database base states he was flying Tomahawk AN311, however this aircraft served with 208 Sqn, NOT 260 Sqn and the 260 Sqn ORB confirms Saville was flying a Kittyhawk III.

South African War Graves has the same info

I wonder if fates for the following show a loss on 19 September 1943

Saville had combat or claimed victories in the following know aircraft:

    Tomahawk IIb AN311 TA-C
    Kittyhawk Ia FR214 GA-A
    Kittyhawk Ia EV339 GA-N
    Kittyhawk Ia EV136 GA-Q
    Kittyhawk Ia EV368 GA-H

LAC Jack ALLIBONE (1418796) database states he was in Wellington X, LN461 of 76 OTU.

However, his unit was RAF Haifa and he is buried in Khayat Beach War Cemetery, whilst the others on board LN461 are buried in Ramleh War Cemetery, so I doubt he was in this aircraft?
