Which ones did Dan Phelan do please so I can cross them off my list, and thanks to Dan as well. Sadly I don't think it's going to get down as far as 1 percent !
Henry John Whiting 1337430 | most certainly did not die in Lancaster ME566 and needs to revert to UNACCOUNTED
Hi Jon
"Henry John Whiting 1337430 | most certainly did not die in Lancaster ME566 and needs to revert to UNACCOUNTED"
On CWGC, this s/n is also allocated to Flt Sgt Derek James Bruce, who did die in ME566, so this is probably where the confusion crept in.
Whiting died, cause unknown, in the Grove Hospital, Tooting, Surrey.

Hi Malcolm,
As it happens, I was discussing this one with Simon and Jon in PMs. It appears that Whiting and Bruce both have the same service number on CWGC. Simon has kindly checked AIR 78 and
"Air 78/24 confirms BRUCE Derek William 1337430"
"Air 78/169 has a partly illegible card which at first glance looks like 1377430" for Whiting.
Jon was going to weave his magic and see if this helps find a cause of death
Jeff
