He was serving at RAF Sutton-on-Hull not Sutton on the Hill.

Frederick Arthur Marshall 1643313 ] was admitted seriously ill to RAF hospital Wroughton on 14 March. He became dangerously ill on 29 April and was transferred to St.Luke’s hospital Guildford on 20 May, where he died from abdominal carcinoma
For information : Vernon Archie Panniers 1864701 ] had been shot down as an A/G in Lancaster III ND 235 of 12 squadron on a Berlin sortie on 2 January 1944 and Was taken POW. He was returned to the UK on 31 March 1945

John Donald Davidson 5372 ] a Fitter II Airframes, was a passenger in Hampden I ( a torpedo bomber ) AT109 which went missing covering a convoy on 4/5 September 1942. On 21 October, a telegram from the IRCC stated he was a POW and then that he was at Dalag Luft. Further IRCC news stated he had died as a POW on 17 March 1945. Information received from an Australia POW, Corporal Hayes stated that Davidson had died at Stalag IXC at Bad Sulza following dysentery and malnutrition after a forced march

Cyril James Rudge 410215 ] was an Observer in Boston III Z22202 when it was reported missing on Reconnaissance from LG 130 at 07:30 Hours on 7 December 1941. He was them reported to be a POW and later, to have been transported to Germany. A report from a L/CPL Williams stated that Rudge had died in the hospital at Stalag IXC at Bad Sulza of malnutrition and dysentery acquired on on forced March and was buried at the POW cemetery at Bad Sulza. His grave could not be located and by 10 October 1949 his grave was declared untraceable
Frederick Whitfield 646741 ] a Flight Engineer in Halitax Ii w7677 DY-Q, took off from Pocklington at 20:57 Hours on 8 September 1942 on a sortie to Frankfurt and was shot down whilst outbound by flak which hit the port inner engine. Considerable engine trouble was experience between 00:36 and 01:00 Hours and the aircraft was abandoned and crashed at Rambrouch, Luxembourg. Whitfield was reported to be a POW at Dalag Luft by 23 October, he died whilst a POW on 5 March 1945. A report stated he had been removed to a " so called " hospital at Bad Sulza, where he died ofvpneumonia brought on starvation and dysentery following a POW merchandise was buried on the hillside above Bad Sulza on 7 May 1945
