    Fred Arnold Evans 1297469 , definitely DID NOT die in Mosquito MV589 which was lost over Germany the day before his death

    85 Sqdn., Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve
    Age: 23
    Died: 19/12/44
    Loss: Cause unknown as the squadron was based in the UK at this time, just over 9 miles northwest of Norwich at RAF Swannington, and Evans served as groundcrew.
    Buried: Barry (Merthyr Dyfan) Burial Ground, Wales, United Kingdom; Sec. R. Grave 943.
    Son of Charles Gladstone Evans and Nellie Rosetta Evans, of Barry Doc
