His record must be incorrect as 192083 was allocated to H. E. F. SAUNDERS, according to the LG, but Saunders does not have the DFC and there is no mention of a DFC to Hinks in the LG.

Thanks Malcolm, it does look confused. Which is why I emphasised the strange anomaly. I'm not quite sure what to suggest with this one ? What do you think ?

The LG definitely quotes 13195 as Hinks S/N and no mention of him having a DFC so I think it's a simple clerical error

Only the years 1945,1946 and 1947 have more than 1% unaccounted...

Thanks Jagan,

Only thing, the list of 1945 medically discharged guys shouldn't be " accounted " or they are lost in the mass in any future searches. They don't have an actual cause, we just know they have no recorda

Jon , I am working on showing them as partially accounted. At least we know they did not die in service/uniform.. Thats partial in my opinion.
