    Default RAAF Look-Up

    Hi,

Trying to establish the identity of a RAAF pilot, the ORB however records him as A Hopkins, then H.R Hopkins, C Hopkin, then finally A.R Hopkins, they also give his s/n as Aus427595. I have checked this against the NAA and drawn a blank.

    Any help appreciated.

    Steve,

He is Alan Rolph Hopkins. 427595 was his number but also O35234 so try that, his file is there but not on line or even not yet examined so if you need his file it will cost $40 AUD and take three months.
    Also thatís O not Zero.

    Hi Steve,

Putting 427595 Hopkins into Google throws up the following

HOPKINS. - Alan Rolph. Flying Officer 427595

Obit. 06 Feb 2009 in Melbourne, Victoria
    https://www.legacy.com/obituaries/na...?pid=123757839

Going by the unusual spelling of his middle name, he seems to be in NAA as, variously, Service Number - V280056, and Service Number - O35234

    Hope this helps,

    Jeff

    Steve,

You don't mention in your posting which squadron Hopkins belonged to. Could this be F/Sgt. A. Hopkins of 66 Sqn. who shared a claim for a Bf 110 on 29 Sep 1943?

    Regards,
    Tom
