    Default RAF Headquarters Far East

    Hello,

I'm trying to pinpoint when the Royal Air Force Headquarters Far East was established? (I received an embroidered badge with such a print alongside its motto "Eastwards.")

Was it in 1933 as stated on wikipedia? ("This was upgraded to Headquarters Air Force Far East Command in 1933.") Then again, it seems to say that the "true ancestor" of the Far East Air Force was established in 1943 under Lord Louis Mountbatten as Air Command, South East Asia.

I'd appreciate any expert input on this.
