    Default A. P. Stephens

I am looking to find info on a possible pre-war RAF officer of the name A.P.Stephens. Forces War Records yields a match for a 1938 record with service number 338265 but I have had no success locating said individual. I would appreciate anything on A.P.Stephens.

    With best wishes,

That’s an airman number an Officer number would have been 4 (excluding leading zeros) or 5 characters prewar

In what context are you trying to find this Officer ?

    Hello

Air 78/151 has Stephens A.P. 338265. It's a handwritten card with a note 'Temporary' added to it, but whether that refers to him, his card or his number...?

Ok can we have a context ? Do you have a date etc? Or location or Sqn - any other information you have would be a great help - if he an officer at least he should be in London Gazette

Yes, I bought a piece of RAF clothing labelled to him and the design of the clothing is definitely pre-war but I might be surprising myself. I did find an A.P.Stephens joining in 1949 but I'd be very surprised it belonged to him not a pre-war officer.

There was a post war RAFVR(T) (Air Cadet)officer of that name, perhaps he was involved with the Air Cadet Force during the war as well ??

I am assuming this is the officer you refer to above - A. P. STEPHENS (203866).
