I have been left some belongings from a distant relative Charles Robert Edwards. In his belonging are photos, a 1947 Diary, his medals and other bits that I am still sorting through. One of the photos is a Squadron photo for the 1947 Goodwill tour to America. I have noticed on this site several post on this tour and I am looking for any help I can get to research this.
I was told by a closer relative who passed the item onto me to destroy his belongings if I could not make use of them. I find this attitude criminal. For someone who served his country I feel I must find out as much as I can about Bob. (This is how he was known by family)
Bob passed away 14th May 2019.
Thanks
Nick

Have this week discovered the very same photograph whilst clearing my late parents attic.
Dad, Gordon (Bob) Gregory, born 1921 was a pilot on this tour & I recall him talking about the trip when I was a small child.
Thrilled to make this discovery & certain there are more gems to discover. Have already found two Squadron photo's when he dis a conversion course on B29's at Marham in 1950.
Also found some photo's & 83 Squadron Crest from when Dad flew Lancasters out of Hemswell.
