    Hi Henk
Dennis beat me to it again!!
McGuffie, registered at Barnstaple could be right for N9817 and it is where Rose,22 is registered
CWGC has a George Bell on the right date age 34, the nearest I could find was age 29 and registered at Wetherby, NE of Leeds in W Yorkshire.Buried in Scotland
Vetch at Sutton Coldfield could have been on T5846, Kingsbury is not far away.
Like Dennis, I couldn't find Blundell but CWGC shows him as buried near his parents home and he could have died in Scotland
    Regards
    Dick

    Default AC2 George BELL

The death of an Aircraftman George BELL, aged 34, from "accidental gushot wound of the chest" was registered by F/O L.O'G. Whitfield R.A.F.V.R. at Dollarbeg, near Alloa in Scotland. Bell's usual residence was given as West Hartlepool.

Googling to see what RAF facilities might have existed at Dollarbeg produced this link -

    http://www.ww2f.com/military-history/23728-r-f-dollarbeg-scotland.html

There is no registration of BLUNDELL's death in Scotland.

    Regards,

    David

John McGuffie crashed in Anson as stated, with DW Rose, into a wall opposite the now North Devon District Hospital in Barnstaple. A new roundabout has recently been built there though the damage can still be seen to the wall. Heard it was doing aerobatics, and failed to come out of a roll. It unfortunately killed a civilian roadsweeper too called Sidney Thomas Pratt, aged 68. Apparently he was deaf and didnt hear the plane coming. The wall was alongside the A39 road as it was then. he is buried in Marwood Church near Barnstaple.
