Wellington G.R. Mk. XIV from No. 407 Squadron serial HF152 2*Q, Tore of the top half of the rudder and vertical fin in a mid-air collision with a Liberator from No. 224 Squadron, while on an anti-shipping mission off the coast of Spain in the Bay of Biscay on 25 December 1944. The liberator lost about 14 feet of the port wing. Both aircraft survived and returned to England. The ORB for No. 226 stated the crew believed they had been struck by flak. Both the Forms 450 and 451 failed to give the Liberator serial just the aircraft call letter O. I have the complete crew lists for both aircraft but desperately seeking the serial of the Liberator. Thank You.
