L serial numbers allotted to the RNZAF

Hi,

I would just like to comment on the 175 Wellington I's.

L4212 to L4391.

If the five that were originally allotted to the RNZAF and not delivered (to the RNZAF in New Zealand ?) were added the total would be 180 for this batch, not 175.

So can anyone supply information of the service in the RAF of L4312, L4313, L4314, L4315 and L4316 ?

Were the serial numbers allotted but the aircraft not built?
Or
Were the aircraft built and allotted different serial numbers ?

This is just one item as far as I am aware that has not been examined.

I have visited the website many times but never have I known that pages such as this one existed.

However it does not solve my question of what became of L4312, 13,14,15 and 16 .
They are not in the list, so must have been redirected to an RAF Squadron ?
