Could he possibly be Guy Cribb, b. Perth, Australia in 1920? There's a Royal Aero Club Aviator's Certificate on ancestry.co.uk for Guy Cribb with D.o.B. Sepember 6th 1920, and his certificate was taken as a Civil Pilot on February 25th 1947. He's on the 1939 Register living at 52 Priory Avenue, High Wycombe and employed as an 'Art. Pupil to Surveyor' - Art presumably short for Articled.
Post war there's a Guy Cribb, aged 30 on the ship 'Georgic' sailing from Southampton to New York in May 1951, whose address is given as 6 Eccleston Mews, London, and employed as a Pilot. Country of intended residence is recorded as Canada.
A family tree has his name recorded as Guy Peter Cribb.
