Interesting. I ticked the remain logged in box some time ago and always have returned logged in with no problems. I found otherwise I was getting kicked of while I was constructing a post and lost what I was typing.

    Hello All,
Further to my signal *30. When I opened up the next morning my ancient desktop coughed, wobbled, and died!!!!!
Just got replacement new laptop. Still stumbling with it!!! When I find which way is up, I will do a controlled log in test.

    Hello All,
New computer, Windows 11, etc, etc.
Double log-in still required at start-up.

Looks like I've joined the club :(
Went to the forum earlier and found that I was no logged in.
Anyway I logged in again and again ticked the box. So expect to remain logged in once more. But as I was previously a "remainer" I somehow became not logged in I can now expect this to be in future a new regular problem.

Alex - I am never 'logged in' when I open the home page but as soon as I select (say) General Category then I am instantly 'logged in' without having to actually 'log in'.
It has been like that for some time now for me.

It would seem therefore that the obvious solution is to set your favourite to open on the General Category page rather than the home page.

I certainly could do Andy - but in reality it is no worse than opening the home page on any forum once I realised that I did not actually need to physically 'log in' each time.
All forums seem to have odd little idiosyncrasies - eg - on Pprune there is a problem with seeing URL's displaying on thread posts for some obscure reason :).
