    Default More on 268 Sqn

    Hello,

Some help will be appreciated to get more details regarding 268 Sqn:

On 18.06.44 F/L RG Brown was shot down over France but evaded capture. Any details about his identity?

Also, if I believe A-B file, the following Mustangs were wrecked for one reason or another but I was unable to find any details in 268 ORB:

    AM142 (14.05.43)
    FD443 (14.09.44)
    FD535 (26.09.43)
    FR939 (26.03.45)

    Any clue?

    Many thanks
    Phil

FD535 was still serving with 268 Squadron in January 1945 - there's a photo of it captioned as FD535 'X' in '2nd Tactical Air Force' Volume 3, by Christopher Shores and Chris Thomas, on page 402. Also a profile of it on the same page.
