    Can anyone help with the last word here ?

    Death Accepted 5 January 1923 - Missing, presumably fell overboard ("SS") Braemar Castle at Sea between
    0600 and 0700 hours 5th Jan 1923 Voyage report Braemar Castle states 155042 LAC W P Dunlop
    lost overboard accidentally or ???? is it purpose ??

    Note his Birth record and Cas Card has William Pretorius DUNLOP - But St Danes has Pretorious

    Can't help with deciphering, but his R.A.F. records on Fold3.com record:

    Fell overboard Stm T. 'Braemar Castle" at sea 5.1.23 and officially accepted as having died (presumably drowned) on that date.

    His middle name is recorded as Pretorius.

    The Braemar Castle is recorded as having passed Perim Island (west of Aden) on January 1st on its way to Karachi from Southampton, as reported in the 'Movement of Liners' in the Westminster Gazette of Janaury 3rd 1923.

    Simon thanks for info on the approx. location of his going over board - his death was reported by Depot Ambala - which would indicate he on way to India as suggested by your report

    Brian - yes "otherwise" it is..
