Today marks a major forum milestone, which I think deserves a separate entry.
Out of 44118 RAF Airmen resting worldwide outside the U.K., there are only 2 RAF home enlisted Airmen unaccounted for or who have no entry of any description ( There are an additional 37 Local enlistment RAF Airmen unaccounted for ) They are :
Ronald Charles Green 1674787 attached to 293 Wing, was dangerously injured in an accident of a nature and location unknown and was admitted to Number 47 British General hospital in Calcutta where he died the same day. A GRO overseas death certificate was purchased by myself which showed that he had recieved his injuries in a motor cycle accident
Stanley Harry Goodworth 995986 attached to HQ Number 221 Group ,was admitted seriously ill to Number 47 British General hospital in Calcutta where he died the same day, no further details were in his records, so a GRO overseas death certificate was purchased by myself which gave the cause of death as asphyxia
I would like to find additional information on a very few more and revisit the Singapore Memorial as I recently did for the Crete casualties but today does Mark the end of a very long and involved effort

Well done of this achievement - I had always thought that any RAF overseas deaths would have been hardest to solve but you have done an outstanding job clearing this backlog
Thanks again
Paul
Well done for doing all this work Jon!
A most admirable effort, John. Many thanks, and sincere congratulations, for all of the hard work that you have put in.
