Default Trying to figure correct date of death from Cas File Typos

Looking at Nicholls - on Cas File he dated '10-11-1923' but all evidence was 10-12-1923 - I was trying to see if there was an transposition error - and it appears so

Nicholl Cas Report Number was 57.889 - so I tried to work out when that should have been created - based on all other casualties around it - it is a Dec 1923 report not a Nov 1923 report - see below - a Nov 10 report would be around the 57.87n number

The gaps mean I can't find a casualty for that date - may not be death - could be hospital admission or discharge

Default Re: Trying to figure correct date of death from Cas File Typos

    Hello Paul,
A question to start with -
Why is the "Killed" Red stamp on the form as the details state he died in Hospital ?
As to the death date, from looking at the others in the list the date on the far left seems to usually be a later date than the date given in the Central box. So is it not possible that the Central box is the date he was admitted to Hospital, and the date on the far left incorrectly given 10/11/23 instead of 10/12/23 ?
Just putting the idea forward .
    Alex

Alex the left date is the date of casualty the right date is the date of report - which could be day or days later and the box next is Reportinb Authority in this case looks like “aviation” Baghdad” but I know that is is not right maybe air something ?- don’t worry about killed verses died I think in this case mean the same - perhaps they only had one large stamp
