    Default Assistance with abbreviations

    Good evening all,

I am currently researching a WOp/AG who was killed in action in 1941 and have received his service record from the RAF and there are 2 abbreviations which I am struggling with. He enlisted in April 1939 and was then placed on the Reserve and it would appear, sent home. He is shown as a U/T Pilot, initially. His records show that he was "recalled from the Reserve" on 2nd September 1939 at London TC. Can anyone tell me what TC stands for in this context? Is it Training Centre?

He is then sent to No. 29 Squadron at the end of October 1939 and then to No. 7 AOS on 6th November 1939, having been reclassified as a U/T WOp/AG. The following July he is posted to No. 29 Squadron but only remains there for two months before he is posted to No. 10 (S) R.C. which I am assuming is No. 10 (Signals) Recruit Centre., would that be correct?

From there he goes to No. 2 Signals School at Yatesbury for a short period until joining No. 78 Squadron on 4th June 1941.

    Any assistance appreciated.

    Jonny

many thanks, I knew I had seen the abbreviation somewhere. I wonder if it is possible to work out his course and potentially find a photo.

    thanks
