    Default Wellington BK338 N°115 sqdn lost 2-3 december 1942

    Hello ,

Wellington BK338 N°115 sqdn lost 2-3 december 1942 during a mission to Frankfurt. The entire crew is buried at the Reichswald Cemetery in Germany. A German says that this aircraft came down 29 km south east of Dinant Belgium ?
    Is this correct ?
    Regards

    Hi Alain57,

According to Dr Theo Boiten’s Book Nachtjagd Combat Archives this Aircraft crashed at Monzernheim/Gau-Oldernheim.
    I hope that helps.

    Cheers,

    John.

There is an archived thread which gives the location as Monzerheim and since the location is from Errol Martin I beleive it is the correct one as he will have sourced it from the RNZAF service file.

Unfortunately the digitalised Service files for the Canadian crew only run to around40 pages, the reports from the Graves units have not been digitalised.
