This plane was lost in Bay of Biscay, and was shot down by U Boat U459, which was also lost. There was one survivor, called Sgt A A Turner 957961, who was picked up from the Bay with 41 survivors for the U Boat, by Polish Destroyer ORP Orkan
Can anyone identify Turner more accurately? As trying to trace connections to him

He's mentioned in the Evening Despatch of November 23rd 1943:
U-BOAT HUNT SURVIVOR FOR CHARLTON
Arthur Alexander Turner, the 22-year-old sergeant air gunner who was the sole survivor of the crew when his bomber was forced down in the Atlantic during a U-boat hunt, will lead the Charlton Athletic attack for the first time against Arsenal at White Hart-lane next Saturday.
Turner has been helping Bath City, who consider him one of the most promising forwards in the game. He was discovered by Mr. J. Seed, the Charlton manager.
