Default No. 1577 (Airborne Experimental) Flight was based at Chaklala, India c.1946

Hi all. I'm just wondering if any of you Halifax or RAF SEAC experts can throw any light on this Unit. Any help (especially a copy of the ORB!) would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Cheers Col, that is very useful information. My query arises after seeing some Halifax photos which were taken in India. One of them shows a Halifax carrying a jeep and another shows a group of three Halifax aircraft. It was the presence of the jeep and the fact that one of the three aircraft has no bomb doors, that made me think they might belong to the Flight, but now I'm questioning whether it would have had that many Halifax....?

    Cheers

    Andrew
