    Default Nurse Mary Coulthard WAAF severely injures Kenley 18 August 1940

    Hi guys

    Mary Coulthard was severely injured (leg amputated?) during the air raid on Kenley. She was described in one account as a nursing orderly, in another as an officer.

    Can anyone confirm? And what was her fate?

    There's a Mary Coulthard, service number 3296, "To be Asst. Sec. Off.s on prob. (emergency) - 20th Nov. 1941" in the LG of December 9th 1941, p.7001.

    Could be the same W.A.A.F., perhaps?

    AIR81/2667 ay have clue as this is the reference to the Doctor killed AIR81/2667 Flight Lieutenant R S Cromie; killed; enemy action at RAF Kenley, 18 August 1940.
