Thanks, Jagan. Might have known it was something technical - though I don't understand the reason.

The forum and the databases are both highly useful resources now and for the long term.

It is worth knowing that the Internet Archive is unable to deal with either, consistently.
For example, the Aircraft Serials/Aircraft Losses db archive copies do not respond to search, nor does the AIR 81 index (though in that case, at least the page no links work).
    The Gallery though does work.

    I've been a member/poster since I was in my early 50s - back in 2001.

One can only admire the progress since then - what Henk Welting would have made, eg, of the advance of his own Unaccounted Airmen work in the years since his death in July 2012.

    So, Happy 10th Anniversary, Jagan.

Very well done to everyone concerned. The forum staff can feel proud that they have successfully received the baton from Ross's capable hands, and have continued to deliver a successful, effective and thoroughly useful and enjoyable forum. I, for one, am very grateful. Here's to a productive decade to come!

    Kind rgds

I am not welcome here I see. :D
I find it hard to believe, I have wasted so much time on the group over so many years. I am afraid there are plenty in front of me. Sometimes I think internet should be forbidden!
    Cheers to all!

    Franek,
    : D

And while spending time here, what else might he have liked to waste time on...
The clues are in Franek's FB page but to avert thread drift, I've offered two small acknowledgements here:

I'd just like to add my thanks to Jagan, Ross, Malcolm and all of the others who have helped me so, so much with my own research and put me in touch with some wonderful people. Though I've met none face to face, I class many as 'internet friends' who can help me out and, I hope, I can help out in return. Long live the site!! Cheers to all, Andrew

    Don
I have been not invited to 1,000 club, hence my bitterness. :D
Just kidding, actually, I have limited my activity, because quality is more important to me than the numbers. I have observed on some other forums a sort of clockmania, with posts counting in dozens of thousands, but of course not quite knowledgeable.
Thanks for flattering comments, but I would like to note the following.
I do not like to write articles and books. I would prefer to read them. Nonetheless, I have concluded that I have had wasted just enough time, and it would be a shame if my research, often unique, would be wasted with me. I think and I hope that everyone contributing to the forum should consider this. We have lost a few members over the years, so there is a time for everyone. I would wish that members of the group would take more care in preserving and sharing their work, for posterity. It does not mean it shall be a freeload, it might be such after certain period of time, but it is most important it is not lost forever.

I remember it well, I was in the back of the car travelling with our now 10 year old son. Hence my slow fall to the bottom of that list.

I don't add much nowadays coz I'm always late to the game.

But, yeah, great work by everyone.

I would also like to give my thanks to Ross & Jagan (& band of merry helpers) for their time and dedication in providing this amazing platform for us all to meet and exchange information. I think I first started dropping in around 2001 when I was doing a lot more active research. More recently I've not been doing quite so much but I do drop in from time to time to see what's going on.

Thanks also to all those who contribute and so generously share information both on the forum and off. I feel honoured to be a very small part of such a great crew.

Ten years, a brilliant achievement, well done to all involved. The forum has been a great help to me in my own research. Many thanks to all the contributors.
