    Default Navy/CC manoeuvre/procedure "Half Viper"

    Hi all,

    I would like to ask for help with explanation of manoeuvre/procedure requested by the SNO of the naval convoy in April 1945 to be performed by the CC Liberator: "Carry our Half Viper ahead".

    The only thing I can think of is that the plane was supposed to fly in front of the convoy and search the sea with some kind of zig-zag flight like a snake :-)
