AACU's and No. 26 AACU History

Does anyone have any information in regard to the AACU's? - their responsibilities, different activities, etc. - in particular I am looking for information in regard to No. 26 AACU during WWII - I'm not finding much through internet searching other that it was formed in Egypt, but I believe redeployed or also based in Palestine.

Firdan, detachments: Haifa 11.42 – 4.6.43, to 22.7.43 & to 28.12.43; Mariut 2.1.43 – 2.45; Tripoli 4.6.43 – 20.2.44; Mellaha 7.6.43 – 23.9.43; Hosc Raui from 22.7.43; Berka Main (ex Tripoli) 23.9.43 – 25.2.44; Ramat David 28.12.43 – 4.6.44; St Jean 4.6.44 – 15.1.45; Beirut 9.44 – 1.45; Ramat David from 15.1.45. Unit to Deversoir 6.3.45, Ramat David 1.1.46, Aqir 30.9.46 (Detachment Kasfareet 27.2.47 – 31.3.47), disbanded 31.3.47.

AACU s were responsible for providing support to AA units for exercises by target towing, etc. as well as calibration of radars and similar tasks.
