Default Seeking RCAF pilot William H Wislon

As part of my research on Oakville ON residents who served in the RCAF, I've come across a pilot, as named above. There are two photographs, sadly too small to see codes. One is a Stranraer, the other a Canso, which leads me to believe he may have been 4 or 5 Squadron RCAF.

    Are the squadron logs online?

    Any leads appreciated.

    Hi,
List of Stranraer squadrons, there are a few.
    No. 5 Squadron (Nov 38 – Sep 41) Dartmouth
No. 117 Squadron (Sep 41 – Oct 41) North Sydney
No. 4 Squadron (Jul 39 – Sep 43) Jericho then Ucluelet
No. 6 Squadron (Nov 41 – May 43) Ucluelet then Alliford Bay
No. 7 Squadron (Feb 43 – Mar 44) Alliford Bay
No. 9 Squadron (Dec 41 – Apr 43) Bella Bella
No. 13 Operational Training (OT) Squadron (Oct 41 – Nov 42) Sea Island then Patricia Bay
No. 120 Squadron (Nov 41 – Oct 43) Patricia Bay then Coal Harbour
Was William H Wislon aircrew as they are easier to find on the Squdron ORB's. The records for the above squadrons are on line but can run to 3000 pages for each. Do you have any more information to go on ?

Can I just confirm that this chap's surname really was WISLON, and not WILSON?

He is supposed to have been pilot.

I don't know if the scenery in either of these photos rings any bells - I think east coast.

He is supposed to be a pilot. I have started looking at the ORBs (4 and 5 Sqns so far). Just hunt and check. No luck so far.

He was born in 1919, so I would suspect him to be in service in the early part of the war.

My man is definitely William Hugh Wilson. It is very possible that the family assumed that all aircrew were pilots. Now to find his squadron. Will need to look 1944-45. And a Caterpillar Club pin holder.

    Thank you very much.

Looking at the crash card for Anson 6851, Wilson is listed as a BA.
