Air Mechanic 3rd Class George Henry SHAW 263459 Died 18th July 1918

Can someone please look up this mans records on Ancestry / Fold3 / FMP

on this individual who Died aged 48 at Warminster

I am trying to clarify 3 things

1) His Rank CWGC has Air Mechanic 2nd Class - but other records say Air Mechanic 3rd Class - Does his service file under just G Shaw have any detail?
2) Cause of actual death rather than died
3) Unit - Either Stores Distribution Centre (CWGC) or 7 Stores Distribution Park?

Fold3.com has his A.M. Form 175, and it records that he died on July 18th 1919 (handwritten in two places), not 1918, confusingly. The last entry under Movmements is recorded as from 7 S.D.D. to 185 Sqn on what looks like October 21st 1918, to add to the confusion!

He has an entry under 'UK Army Register of Effects 1901-1929' on ancestry, which records his date of death as July 18th 1918, not 1919, at Sutton Veny Military Hospital. His unit is recorded as No. 7 Stores Dist. Park.

Finally ancestry also has a Pension Card, which records his rank as 'am/3' and confirms his date of death as July 18th 1918, and that he died due to 'Influenza and Bronchitis aggr. by Active Service.'

No idea why his Form 175 has him dying in 1919, but the other two records definitely say 1918.

Many Many Thanks - I have a list of deaths from end of WW1 to 2nd Sept 1939 -He is in 1919 list - But I Knew this was wrong - so corrected from 1919 to 1918 - I am just going through it and double checking (and completing) all the wrong dates one - So the info you supplied me is great - thanks - RAF Cas Card says died - AHB only have bare details from 1918 to Feb 1927 Date, Name Rank Service Number etc - So good to get 100% confirmation of this and I now know where the issue with the date of death started Many Thanks again - There may be a few others pre Nov 11th 1918 for me to check Many thanks again
