Fatally injured in a cycle accident between Stoke Ferry and Methwold at 00:30 hours, dying of his injuries in RAF Hospital Ely.

JONES, Walter - Sgt - 523615 - RAF - Barry Docks.
OWENS, David Sydney - AC2c - 933561 - RAFVR - 953 Balloon Sqdn.
STEDMAN, John Leslie Frank - AC2c - 901438 - RAFVR
These three airmen are all commemorated on the Runnymede Memorial, Surrey.
They were aboard RAF Motor Boat 'S 316' which hit a mine at sea off the coast of Milford Haven.

Blidworth (St.Mary of the Purification and St.Lawrence) Churchyard, Nottinghamshire.
Admitted dangerously ill to the Royal National orthopaedic hospital on 11 April. He died at 06:50 Hours of pulmonary tuberculosis on the 14th.

He was an Bordmechaniker/Bordschütze [flight engineer/gunner] Oberfeldwebel of the 6th Staffel of Kampfgeschwader 1 on an armed reconnaissance flight over the Humber, England who was killed when his aircraft (Ju88A-5; Wn 6263; V4+GP) took evasive manoeuvres in response to anti-aircraft fire and crashed into the sea off Spurn Head. ...
