    BISHOP, John William - F/Sgt - 336503 - RAF.
    Habbaniya War Cemetery, Iraq.
    He was killed in an evening air raid when bombs struck RAF Habbinya causing damage to the Sergeants mess and the Airman s institute.

    ISRAEL
    REDHEAD, William Cecil - AC1c - 572144 - RAF - 11 Sqdn.
    Ramleh War Cemetery, Israel and Palestine (Inc Gaza).
    Died in No 12 general Hospital of a perforated duodenal ulcer.

    SOUTH AFRICA
    WEBSTER, Edward Francis Seymour - Air Mechanic - 209556 - SAAF.
    Benoni Cemetery, Gauteng, South Africa.
    Died of poisoning ?

    HANDLEY, Peter Saville - F/O(Pilot) - 42059 - RAF - 2 AACU.
    Gosport (Ann'sHill) Cemetery, Hampshire.
    Suicide. He was found shot at Gosport. Handley had been at the station about a month. He was in a car crash about a week ago, It was believed that he was to be held liable for the car. Witness added that he knew nothing about Handley's financial position. A revolver with one round fired was found at his side. At 11.35 p.m. on May 21 the radio was switched on in Handley's room and almost immediately afterwards there was a loud bang which witness thought was a door slamming.

    Died at RAF Dagnal from a gun shot wound to the chest.

    WALES, Richard Garneys - P/O - 87420 - RAFVR - 254 Sqdn.
    Runnymede Memorial, Surrey.
    Died at RAF Dagnal from a gun shot wound to the chest.

    DAY, Michael James Wilfrid - Chief Ordanance Artificer - D/M.35202 - RN .
    Plymouth Naval Memorial, Devon.

    BOYLE, James - Air Fitter - SR.16126 - RN.
    BRANFORD, Percy John - PO(A) - Fx.79967 - RN.
    FOSTER, Colin - LA - Fx.77377 - RN.
    GODWIN, William George - Air Fitter - Fx.79024 - RN.
    MANSELL, John Osborne - Lt/Cdr - RN.
    READING, Norman Quorn - S/Lt(A) - RN.
    SHARROCK, Reginald Ecrersley - Air Fitter - Fx.79565 - RN.
    SPRAGGON, Joseph - Air Fitter - Fx.75595 - RN.

    VOAKES, Ebenezer Nehemiah - Air Mechanic 1c - Fx.75746 - RN.These ten Naval Airman are all commemorated on the Lee-on-solent Memorial, Hampshire.

    The eleven Naval Airman listed above were all lost in HMS Gloucester.

    These six airmen are commemorated on the Habbaniya Memorial, Iraq.
    Cause of death: Eight levy airmen killed in action or died of wounds during the battle of Habbiniya with the exception of 1281 Tooma who was killed at Fallujah at 18:00 Hours.

    These three Naval Airmen were crew of Albacore - N4256 - 817 Sqdn FAA, RN.
    ( GRANIER served as GRANT ) .
    These three Naval Airmen are Commemorated on the Lee-on-Solent Memorial, Hampshire.

    KOEHLER, Konrad - GAF. Cannock
    These two German Airmen rest at Wareham Cemetery, Dorset.
