Default AM Publication 1922 - Notes on Casualty Procedure in War

This just popped up in a google search I was doing, on the CWGC archives

    https://archive.cwgc.org/GetMultimed...2_4_17.opt.pdf

    Hopefully the link stays active.

AM Publication 1922 - Notes on Casualty Procedure in War

The later parts explains the codes that one finds on telegrams in AIR81 files for example, and contains sample letters one should write to the next of kin. Lots of useful information in it.

Dates from Feb 1922 at least.

A very useful AP to have in pdf for ref. If only it would download!

May be a short-term tech issue at
    http://archive.cwgc.org/
    as

Attempts to find/load doc via DBs pdf link failed with
Problem loading page/The connection has timed out
    (W10/Firefox msg)

Also failed when attempting to access the Archive address
    http://archive.cwgc.org/

And on the Find Records page, https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/cwgc-archive/, via the Explore CWGC Archive button.

While using the banner Search fn produces, as usual, an ocean (198 pages) of irrelevancy

The booklet is also held at UK National Archives, if undigitised, at
    AIR 10/2746
Notes on Casualty Procedure in War 1st Edition (AP No. 1922 1942 reprint)
    https://discovery.nationalarchives.g...ils/r/C3304266

Potentially so useful, I'll try again later...

    Thanks for the updates Dennis.

All the links fail with the same "connection timed out" msg

That includes the CWGC Archive page https://archive.cwgc.org/
    and all the pdf links.

That's in two browsers. And after varying security settings.
    Cookies not an issue.

Query: working UK & Ireland only? Not working Aus as far as I can see...

PS: Dennis, what the file size approx of the pdfs?

    Hello,

All download perfectly here in OZ (Google Chrome).

Essential reading explaining usage of Air Publication 1922, scattered throughout:

RAF WWII Operational and Flying Accident Casualty Files in the National Archives - Exploring Their Contents.
    Hudson, Mary.
    Barnsley:Air World,2020.
    See: p.8, initially.

    Thanks Dennis.

    Thank you.

Some settings quirk on my two machines, then, not readily resolved by me. Heigh-ho.

I'll make do with Ms Hudson's work, which I have.

Nevertheless a valuable ref, the AP itself, for those who can access it and also the CWGC Archive as such.
