This airman has shown exceptional keenness and devotion to duty in carrying out his routine work. He has set an excellent example to the rest of his Flight.

This was one of 18 Mention in Despatches headed by S/L Mark Cohen recommended on 7 February 1941. On 10 February 1941 G/C W.E. Staton (Commanding Station Leeming) added the folllowing: “The keenness and unsparing efforts of this officer and airmen have contributed in a great measure towards the operational efficiency of the Station. Their fine work, in many cases under adverse circumstances, is deserving of the highest praise.
